One team that I never like to see winning the tournaments are back again in the semi’s in this Euro 2008. That is Germany or Deutchlands, the so called “Panzer” or “Diesel” teams. Still, their character is look like a tank, they are slow and boring but effective. Those tank squad will came into the field with a full strength and highly motivated after crushing easily the Portuguese wingers. Their opponents meanwhile, has lost not less than their eight players, not to mention some key players like Nihat Kahveci, their most valuable player in the squad.

The way the Turks goes to the semi’s remembered me of what was the old Germany team to display, hard fought to the end, but with a lot of last minutes drama worth a Hollywood sports movie script. They did this as much as three times against the like of no easy opponents such as host Switzerland, Czech, and the most dramatic against the Croats. Many believes that the number ‘3′ is as much miracle as the genie would give, the “your (three) wishes is my command”, thus make that ‘luck’ against Croatia is their last. Those hard fought Turkey which ironically call the Germany as their “footballing fathers” because of the works from Jupp Durwall and Sepp Piontek to their football would be really satisfy with what they already achieves, and it means that they may be going too soft to Germany tonight.

Conclusion is, with the lack of player the Turkey have and the awareness of the Germans that Turkey is a ‘comeback kings’, I don’t see how the Germans would be stop on 90 minutes (one that matter for asian handicap system), plus they are the long time ADIDAS pride. Next questions is, how much the bookies will balance the game? or how much the goal handicap favors the Turks? easily will pick Germans if the goal handicap only ‘1′, but let’s see how much they offer now.
